Crispin Freeman, from what I've seen, does great work.
He's characteristically "baddass" (a vampire that shoots huge guns loaded with silver, it's not really surprising that such a character would have cheezy one-liners, in all honesty), but he just does it so well, you won't even mind it at all.
So yes, Crispin is excellent, and it would be cool if I saw him appear in more anime series.

Crispin Freeman as a twelve-year-old?  I don't care how brooding Sasuke's voice is, he doesn't bellow like a thunderstorm.  I'd be thinking more along the lines of Dave Wittenberg, he can be a mean mother when the director wants him to.
As for Sasuke, his lack of bellowing is why I'd like to see Crispin Freeman play his voice.

Heh, I'm sure it is! He did a pretty good job I felt, which was a hard task considering the original seiyuu's voice sounds like something from the depths of hell itself (although I did laugh at the random bits of Engrish like "punku!" in episode one).
I have a lot of respect for Crispin Freeman as he seems to understand how you're supposed to act in an anime dub and doesn't come across sounding stilted like quite a few others do.

A Request for a Change of English Cast in the Up-and-Coming Hellsing OVA Petition
We strongly believe that you should replace, if not the entire original English cast of the first Hellsing TV series, at least Crispin Freeman in the part of Alucard, and Steven Brand in the part of Father Alexander Anderson.
Crispin Freeman’s performance as Alucard not only sounded drab and unimaginative in comparison to Nakata’s, but also forced and unnatural, subsequently producing the opposite effect that Nakata brought to the part—a more nefarious, sinister interpretation, perfectly befitting a vampiric character as malevolent and bloodthirsty as Alucard.
We, the devoted fans of Hellsing, most respectfully request that you do not give Crispin Freeman another chance to ruin a character as great as Alucard, or Steven Brand the opportunity to do the same to the role of Alexander Anderson.
