Cristina La Revista (Cristina the Magazine), published by Spanish media giant Televisa, was considered one of the most popular Spanish language magazines in the country, but it faced increasing competition amid a recent boom in magazines targeting Hispanics.
Cristina La Revista ranked 14th among Hispanic publications, according to the industry group, Hispanic Magazine Monitor, pulling in an estimated at about $2 million in revenue between January and September of this year, as compared to top seller People en Espanol, estimated at $26 million over the same period.
