The cereal itself was star shaped and cinnamon flavoured.
One of the most infamous rare collectibles is the Croonchy Stars Swedish Chef doll, this was particularly unusual because until recent years very few collectibles were produced featuring the Swedish Chef.
The doll is very hard to find due to the fact that there were not many made and were quite expensive to purchase in 1988; $20.95 and a proof of purchase from one of the cereal boxes.

From 1988 to 1989, the Swedish Chef had his own short-lived breakfast cereal for sale in grocery stores, called "Cröonchy Stars." Croonchy Stars brought with it a small variety of Swedish Chef items, most notably a stuffed Chef doll complete with non-removable wooden rolling pin and spoon.
There was also a coffee mug bearing a picture of the Chef and the logos of Post Cereal and Cröonchy Stars.
In 2000, German company Igel released a large (35cm) plush Swedish Chef as part of the second wave of its stuffed Muppets line.

As for the Chef himself, he has a special place in my heart.
Back in my formative years, he had a cereal called Croonchy Stars, and it was delicious.
After about a year or so, it vanished, and I was left with an eternal craving that endures to this day.

Triples cereal made utterly awesome 'rice krispy treats.'
And Croonchy Stars also had games like "Find how many times the word "rutabaga" appears on the box— this one doesn't count." Then you'd find instances of "rutaba" and "rutabagabaga" as well as "rhubarb" but nary a full "rutabaga."
