Cereal farmers are warning would-be crop circlers to consider the impact that their damaging activities have on farmers’ livelihoods.
Crop circlers seem to forget that they are damaging someone’s property and there’s a financial implication,” said the spokesman.
The NFU also wishes to deter “crop circle tourists” who park their cars in gateways and then walk through the crops to get a closer look at the patterned field.

  Crop Circle Theories - Crystalinks
Crop circles are areas of cereal or similar crops that have been systematically flattened to form various geometric patterns.
Crop circle hoaxers counter that it is easy to leave dry seed pods unbroken during stomping and also leave no trace of entrance and egress trampling when the plants and ground are both dry and some care is taken while walking.
Several crop circles, later to have been determined to be hoaxes, were at first certified as being 'genuine' by cerealogists due to the lack of seed pod breakage.

Crop circles and their message (1)
In authentic crop circles, the flattened plants are largely undamaged (until visitors arrive!) and tend to continue growing, whereas in hoaxed circles the stalks are generally broken, crushed and often killed.
The centre of a swirl of crop is often marked by a bare area of soil or a ‘hole’ in the middle of a whorl of stems, and is frequently offset from the mathematical centre, sometimes by several feet.
If a crop circle occurs before the flowering of the plant and the development of the seed, the plant’s somatic (nonreproductive) tissue continues to develop normally, but seed development ceases or is impaired.

1992 Technical Remote Viewing Crop Circle Report
Crop circles are purposefully created by a collection of alien races who appear to be capable of time travel.
Crop circles are not symbols intended as a "message to man." These deliberately created pictographs are signposts, or reference marks produced by aliens moving in space and time (back and forth/in and out), who are monitoring the course of event trajectories, (in a state space analysis sense), on Earth.
Anecdotally, it was noted that the circles have given rise historically to various beliefs connected with the supernatural.

Crop Circles 101: an outline of the current state of knowledge about the phenomenon, including history, the scientific evidence, related anomalies and other types of circular phenomena.
Two and a half decades and some 10,000 formations later, crop circles have grown into complex mathematical fractals, in lengths up to three quarters of a mile, and covering areas as large as 200,000 square ft. Crop circles- or agriglyphs- can now be found in most countries around the globe.
Crop circles, those beautiful and complex patterns that are visible from the air in fields around the world, have long fascinated the public, media, and scientific community.

I demonstrated that the measured node lengths in all of the three crop circles studies by Levengood and Talbott perfectly matched the temperature distribution that would be caused by a small ball of light, hanging in the air above the centre of the circles, emitting intense heat.
Consequently, the circumstantial evidence left in the fields was in perfect agreement with the words of the eyewitness: the crop circle was indeed created with the involvement of a "ball of light".
My paper shows that the node lengthening in several crop circles corresponds perfectly to the effect that would be created by a ball of light, heating up the crop during the creation of the crop circle.

Crop Circles   (Site not responding. Last check: )
Having first begun to appear in 1975, the crop circles were simple circles formed from mysteriously flattened cereal crops (in most cases the crops themselves remained undamaged and continued to grow, albeit at an angle!).
The above explanations ignore the latest evidence that shows that the crops seem to have been subjected to some sort of microwave radiation that has boiled the water in the plant cells, causing these to expand and sometimes burst at the "growth nodes" causing the plants to bend, thus forming the circle or agro-glyph.
Other anomalies found at crop circles are distorted magnetic fields that cause compasses to spin, strange sounds (like numerous crickets screeching) that have been recorded, and sightings of UFOs and strange lights in the area where crop circles are later found.
