This pleasant cross-country route, more gently sloping than Madingley Hill and away from the noise and fumes of the motor traffic, was favoured by a significant majority of people in Hardwick according to the survey organised by the Hardwick Cycling Campaign.

 Snowdon Bridleways
The Snowdon Downhill Collective is very concerned that the two distinct activities of timed downhill riding, which is generally confined to purpose built trails, and down hill riding on recreational and cross country routes are being treated as being the same activity.
If downhill riding is done when other paths users are likely to be met, the use of a more traditional cycling helmet and clothing might go some way to dissipate the impression a walker might have that they have just encountered some 'speed crazed loon' who lives for danger.
Opportunities for challenging and spiritually uplifting off-road cycling in the area are limited and the proposed prohibition of cycling on Mt. Snowdon would be a serious, and in my opinion unjustifiable, degradation of the already limited access cyclists have to off-road paths in the area.
