		The recording and mix is full and lush, more mature, and has a more "classic" hard rock sound that will stand the test of time as opposed to their first album which had a decidedly contemporary sound.
		Their songs all have a similar sound to them, but it is an interesting blend of sound ranging from energetic to sad, dark and heavy to light.
		Crossfade is a solid band and their songs and lyrics are emotional.

		Crossfade's controlled rock aggression has remained intact, however, and their follow-up, Falling Away, is pretty much more of the same in all other respects, strained vocals, authoritative guitars, bashing drums, dismal atmosphere.
		A very good album that makes you dig down deep and really explore the real Crossfade that simply posed some of what was written from they're debut album and put in they're true music writing abilities.
		Crossfade was a band with enormous potential in the rap/rock scene, potential to be one of it's best acts (which isn't hard anymore since Limp Bizkit and Linkin Park seem a little washed up).

		Crossfade's players in the game all have decent pedigrees, the core duo, Lars Hallbaeck and Richard Stenstroem have been around, Richard being a highly regarded session keyboard player and Lars has been in various rock bands dating back to the 70s.
		Crossfade however, apparently know the necessity for this and that little bit from "Vanity Fair" is just one example of a multitude of attention grabbing gimmicks that work while fading into the structure of the song perfectly.
		Crossfade's "White on Blue" is one of the best debuts in this genre I have heard in ages, perhaps the most standout since Silver's self titled stunning entry into the AOR field, back a couple of years ago.

		This comes in quite handy at times, as I usually like different crossfade times depending on where the fading is happening (ie short fade in at the beginning of playback, long at end of playlist, medium between tracks).
		An additional feature that would be very welcome is an automatic detection of whether or not tracks are successive; ie when listening to a complete album, crossfading is unnecessary, or sometimes even annoying, since many trance albums are already mixed to be continuous, so additional fading detracts from the \"listening experience\".
