 Thames Gateway Bridge Introduction
Thames Gateway Bridge was called in by the Secretaries of State for the Environment and Transport in January 2005 for a public inquiry to examine the planning applications and orders.
Phase 1 began on Tuesday 7th June and is scheduled to end on Friday 22nd July and Phase 2 begins on Tuesday 13th September and may continue until the end of November 2005.
TGLP is supporting the proposals and has presented its case in collaboration with the Learning and Skills Council, the Strategic Health Authorities and Gateway to London.

The proposals are for a local and public transport link to the Greenwich peninsula, a dual carriageway road and public transport link further downstream towards Dartford, and a new light rail crossing approximately halfway between the two.
The plans include tolling all of east London's road crossings and putting them under control of a single operator.
