		Crusader is the debut album by New Zealand rapper Scribe.
		Scribe recorded his debut album The Crusader in 2003 and it was released in New Zealand on October 18, 2003 by Dirty Records with distribution through Festival Mushroom Records.
		The Crusader was released in Australia in January 2004 and reached the top 20 of the urban music album charts for that country during the early part of that year.

		The band’s third album, Crusader is a funky recording that features electro dance beats combined with the usual acid jazz horns, clipped guitar riffs, and energetic rhythms.
		The funky, crafty melodies and over-the-top sax solos are the real driving force behind Fishbelly Black’s music, and it’s these ingredients in particular which make this album one of the purest acid jazz recordings to come out in years.
		Title track, “Crusader” features plenty of wah-wah rhythm guitar and some great sax leads, while the piano and drum heavy “Call Me Kiki” is a somewhat typical song for Fishbelly Black, but it is still likeable.

		Each of the three band members worked on this album to sweat his guts out and their long and highly diverse arrangements are the most ungovernable I ever heard.
		I'd always prefer to listen to a 45-minute album which is excellent from beginning to end than to program (to 'castrate', maybe?) some songs from a 80-minute CD since these (good) songs sound about the same for 45 minutes if not less.
		There is, however, a major difference in sound between these two albums, as all the nine (1 to 9) original songs on "Destiny" were recorded and mixed properly, though back then the album was privately released on cassettes for demo purposes only.

		It's hard to pinpoint the reasons for Saxon's gradual fall from stardom, but by the time they released 1984's Crusader, the band had obviously stopped leading the New Wave of British Heavy Metal with it's aggressive biker anthems and fallen in line behind Iron Maiden's epic historical themes and more complex song structures.
