Through Ebay I managed to locate a copy of Crypts of Chaos at a very reasonable price, finally fulfilling my long standing curiousity.
He actually stated in his auction description that he and his kids hated the game, and that their dislike was a primary reason for his decision to auction it off.
Sometimes, when I get in a dungeon crawling mood, I enjoy hunting through the Crypts, disposing of monsters and claiming the treasure tucked in their lairs.

If you look at my game Crypts Of Chaos, I used eight colors and eight monster shapes to generate what the game thought of 64 monsters.
Of course you couldn't use all that until you shut off the operating system, so all good games would do that, because operating systems as we know are inherently evil to all games.

Basically I want to collect all the best games, regardless of common-ness.
What I discovered is that we own a number of rare games, a few are rated "extremely rare" or on one site "unbelieveably rare." The "rare" ones are Flash Gordon, Fantastic Voyage, Crypts of Chaos.
The "ultra rare" ones are Sports Illustrated Wall Ball, and "Glib", a bizarre spelling game that is apparently one of the most rare non-prototype carts for the 2600.
I bought a great many games, and in that two day period, they’d had quite a turnover, so I had a new selection from which to choose from.
