One of the characteristics that separates Cuban poster art from that of its historical antecedents - the Taller de Grafica Popular in Mexico in the 1930's, Polish film and political posters, and the state-sponsored posters of the Soviet Union and China - is the wide range of content and style.
Posters are a vital, expressive visual art which have historically been a medium of choice for presenting oppositional voices.
Because we are also concerned with preserving oppositional poster art in general, we see the documentation of "small" collections to be key pieces in the construction of a major archive of domestic and international posters.

A cuisine (from French cuisine, meaning cooking; culinary art; kitchen; itself from Latin coquina, meaning the same; itself from the Latin verb coquere, meaning to cook) is a specific set of cooking traditions and practices, often associated with a place of origin.
Argentine cuisine evolved distinctly from the rest of Latin American cuisine because of the heavy influence of Italian and Spanish cuisine.
Although there exists an Argentine cuisine that is common to the whole country—asados (grilled meats), dulce de leche (a sweet caramel-like custard), empanadas and mate—there is a cuisine that is specific to each of four regions of Argentina, which follow in order of population (2005):

Cuban artists are not allowed to sign commercial work contracts in the United States, and thus cannot receive fees for their performances, not even through the agencies representing them, despite the interest of impresarios, producers and institutions in marketing Cuban cultural and artistic productions.
The primary goal of the blockade is quite simply that of effecting the economic and social asphyxiation of the Cuban nation, by depriving it of the basic means of survival.
Cuban writers of recognized international prestige have found it impossible, to a great extent, to be published in the United States, which has resulted in significant cultural and economic damage, not always quantifiable.

 Art Blakey's African Diaspora
Yet Art Blakey was one of the first jazz musicians to travel to Africa (in the late forties) and did so not as a musician on tour, but in order to study religion and philosophy.
Blakey's music, moreover, tells a different story than his words, especially his recordings in collaboration with Afro-Cuban musicians at the time of Ghana's independence in 1957.
Blakey's dismissive comments about the connection between jazz and African music have often been invoked to undermine the position more commonly taken in the post-Civil Rights era that jazz is deeply connected to Africa.

The situation of Latin American cinema today is that of a series of medium to small, sometimes tiny, national film industries, all of them plagued by structural weakness and small markets, but supplied with a wealth of talent and imagination.

The Megalithic Portal and Megalith Map: Cuban Rock Art - evidence for Atlantis?
Whatever the reasons, the Cuban archaeologists confirmed that they had found all of these things on Cuba, but, as the article stated, there would have to be a revolution of the established ways of thinking before their presence would be seen as evidence for the existence of Atlantis.
For it now appears that Cuban archaeologists were working on the theory that Ceuva # Uno's petroglyphs reflected some kind of cosmic catastrophe which devastated the region in prehistoric times as early as 1951, a full decade before the country came under Communist control.
Why exactly is not made clear in the article, although I would suspect that these ideas were based on Donnelly's concept of a diffusion of shared ideas among cultures on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean, due to the proposed migration of peoples from Atlantis following its destruction.

Hip hop music - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hip hop music is a part of hip hop, a cultural movement that includes the activities of breakdancing and graffiti art, as well as associated slang,
Contemporary hip hop fashion includes the wearing of baggy jeans slung low around the waist, gold or platinum chains and boots, and bandanas tied around the head (known as doorags, often worn with a baseball cap on top) ; these elements are more typical of men than women.
Since the late nineties and especially since the turn of the century, many hip hop songs - and indeed probably the majority of mainstream hip hop songs - have focused on the " bling bling " lifestyle, which is a focus on expensive jewelry, cars and clothing that symbolize wealth and status.
