Cast bronze kovsh (ancient Russian drinking vessel), made in 1904 for the Life-Guard Cuirassier regiment of Empress Maria Fedorovna (mother of Nicholas II) on the occasion of the bicentennial of the regiment.
The kovsh is of traditional 17th-18th century shape - oblong with flat handle, decorated in the front with cipher of Peter I the Great (founder of the regiment) and date '1904', monograms of Nicholas II and empress Maria on the sides.
