Today the name "Chirimoya Cumbe" has its own characteristic logo and, more importantly, is registered in the name of the village of Cumbe (in Class 31 of the International Classification), and the latter are working to gain a competitive edge over their rivals in Lima's Wholesale Fruit Market.
The owner of the collective mark registration is the village of Santo Toribio de Cumbe, composed of 106 residents duly recorded in the population census.
Cumbe is the name of a valley in Peru where the chirimoya grows.

  Cumbe Mayo - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Cumbe Mayo is located about 12 miles southwest of the Peruvian city of Cajamarca, at an elevation of approximately 11,000 feet.
It is thought to have been constructed around 1500 B.C. and may be the oldest existing man-made structure in South America.
The name Cumbe Mayo may be derived from a Quechua phrase, kunpi mayu, meaning “well-made water channel,” or hunpi mayo, meaning “thin river.” There are a number of petroglyphs on the aqueduct and surrounding caverns.

The limestones are a minor but characteristic part of the formation and though extremely variable over short distances, they have been separated and named.
The La Paz limestone member was named and described by Salvador (1949, private report; described 1950) for the exposures of reef limestone about 600 meters east of the settlement of La Paz, 2 kilometers west of Casa de Zinc on the Transandean highway.
The El Cumbe limestone member was introduced by Salvador (1950) for a 25-foot (8 meter) bed exposed on the cliffs of Cerro El Cumbe.
