	Tollan (Stargate) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		The planet was evacuated and a final Tollan team were going to destroy the Stargate, to insure that nobody would come through the Gate and be injured on the now-harsh surface, but due to volcanic activity they were incapacitated before they could.
		The technologically advanced societies of the Tollan, the remnants of the Tok'ra, and the Asgard are all mentioned as potential candidates to aid Earth against the threat of de-population and Aschen retaliation.
		The High Chancellor is the head of the Curia and apparently the head of the Tollan government.

	Pretense (Stargate SG-1) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		It began a running theme in Stargate, which was to compare humans to the show's major anatagonists, in such a way as to make the viewer either consider humans as evil, or else the antagonists not actually evil at all.
		The Tollan take Klorel prisoner, and, having the technology to extract Goa'uld parasites from human hosts, but not knowing whether it would be right to use it, hold a trial (called a "Triad" in their culture), to decide the final fate of Skaara/Klorel.
		Triad involves a member of the Tollan Curia (the governing body of Tollana), who presides over the hearing, "Seekers" for the defendants (like lawyers/barristers) and an "Archon", a person completely neutral on the subject.
