Curry County is a county located in the state of Oregon.
In the county, the population is spread out with 19.20% under the age of 18, 4.80% from 18 to 24, 20.00% from 25 to 44, 29.40% from 45 to 64, and 26.60% who are 65 years of age or older.
Curry County was created on December 18, 1855, from the southern part of Coos County.

For those not familiar with Oregon county lines, Curry County is the first county you enter if you're driving along the coast up from California on your way north, as I happened to be.
The only way to avoid Curry County is by taking U.S. Interstate 5, but that, of course, means you're no longer traveling along the coast, which, upon reflection, may have been a better choice for me. On the other hand, Curry County opened my eyes.
