Curtis Martin - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Curtis Martin (born May 1, 1973 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania), is an American football running back, an alumnus of Taylor Allderdice High School and the University of Pittsburgh, and currently plays for the NFL's New York Jets.
Martin entered the NFL in 1995, as a third round draft pick of the New England Patriots.
It was considered likely that Martin would eventually break the NFL's record for career rushing yards (18,355) held by Smith, however many debate this now because of the recent injury he received in the 2005 season, and also,at Martin's age, Smith had surpassed the 16,000 rushing yards mark.
