Cushing triad (ie, hypertension, bradycardia, and hypoventilation), an uncommon finding in children with increased intracranial pressure, usually indicates impending herniation.
The classic triad consists of morning headaches, vomiting, and lethargy.
Headache consists of head pain present upon arising that is relieved by vomiting and gradually lessens during the day.

Cushing, Harvey - Diabetes Mellitus, Type 2, Type 1, and Metabolic Disorders treatment and medications
Cushing, Harvey: Renowned American neurosurgeon (1869-1939) whose name is now associated with Cushing syndrome (Cushing disease), the Cushing phenomenon, Cushing ulcer, Cushing-Rokitansky ulcer, Bailey-Cushing syndrome, Cushing's clip, Cushing's law, Cushing's symphalangism, Cushing's triad, Neurath-Cushing syndrome, and the adjective "cushingoid."
Cushing served as Professor of Surgery at Harvard and Surgeon in Chief at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Boston (1912-32) and then Professor of Neurology at Yale (1932-37).
Cushing syndrome, perhaps his most celebrated discovery, is an extremely complex hormonal condition that involves many areas of the body.

Cushing's triad - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Cushing's triad is the triad of hypertension, bradycardia, and Cheyne-Stokes respiration (irregular breathing) in patients with head injuries.
It is named after Harvey Williams Cushing (1869-1939), the American neurosurgeon who first described this combination of signs.
Identification of the combination of these signs is critically important, especially in the setting of emergency medicine because it is a sign of increasing intracranial pressure.

The influence of environment on larval and juvenile survival was conceptualised in general hypotheses, including food web match-mismatch (Cushing, 1975), stable ocean rupture (Lasker, 1978), physical dispersal (Sinclair, 1988), “triad” of oceanic conditions (Bakun, 1996).
Influence of wind-induced turbulence on survival The negative effect of turbulence caused by strong winds on anchovy larval feeding and survival was shown by Lasker (1978) and Peterman and Bradford (1987) in the California Current and observed by Bergeron (2000) in the Bay of Biscay.
Examination of survival mechanisms related to habitat, transport and wind regime The relation between survival and transport was explored using the previous analysis and maps of the drift trajectories of the virtual buoys released from the main spawning grounds over the entire season (i.e.
