An older cousin who has given me alot of the family history remembers her grandmother (Mariah) saying she was a slave.
I have researched the Cutch's using the census, marriage records etc. In the 1870 Census for St. Clements Bay in St. Mary's County Maryland there are three Cutch head of households: William (age 40), Joseph (age 38) and Charles (age 35).
Cutch is not a very common name, so I have been tracing the Cutch's using the Census and have been able to tie many of them together.
