Fred "Cy" Williams (December 21, 1887 - April 23, 1974) was a Major League Baseball player for the Chicago Cubs (1912-17) and Philadelphia Phillies (1918-30).
Born in Wadena, Indiana, Williams attended Notre Dame where he studied architecture and played football with the legendary Knute Rockne.

Fred "Cy" Williams was a great player, he played from 1912-1930 for the Cubs and Phillies, and was just a notch below a Hall of Fame quality player for his time.
I took a look at the "2001 SCD Standard Catalog" and found these sets that have Fred "Cy" Williams cards, there may be a couple more I missed.
About 1/3rd of the cards call him Cy Williams, the other 2/3rds call him Fred Williams, they are both the same player.

As shown, Williams ranks fourth all time in career HR divided by the league average based on outs.
Based on this study, I think it is only fair to conclude that Cy Williams wasn’t just a great home run hitter because of the ballpark but instead was one of the very best HR sluggers relative to his era ever.
One final note: Among players ranked higher than Cy Williams’ adjusted home run rate, only Ken Williams, Tilly Walker, Harry Davis, Wally Berger, Dolph Camilli, Rudy York, and Jack Fournier are not in the Hall of Fame.

 Baseball Musings: Cy Williams
Richard Lederer has an interesting article in which he argues that Cy and Ken Williams are two of the most over looked HR hitters of all time.
My biggest problem with the article is one that Rich dismisses, Cy Williams home-road numbers.
Aaron was pretty even, too (385 home, 370 road) and he split his career between a very good HR park and a very bad HR park.
