  Urban Dictionary: Cyberdemon
The cyberdemon is usually seen as the most powerful enemy you encounter in doom.
The Cyberdemon is an enormous bull-headed demon with mechanical add-ons such as a torso with wires, a metallic foot, and above all, a big fat rocket-launcher.
The Cyberdemon makes a return in Doom III, but apparently plays a very significant role in the game (no, you don't play as him, but he has a major purpose in the storyline).

 Cyberdemon - Definition, explanation
The Cyberdemons resemble large, 10+ foot tall brown-skinned minotaurs, somewhat resembling the weaker Baron of Hell monster, with several unnatural cyborg enhancements, including a mostly metallic right leg, a prosthetic rocket launcher for a left forearm, wires lining down their midsections, and wires protruding from the right shoulder areas.
The Cyberdemon was originally designed as the end-of-chapter boss of the original Doom's Episode 2, in level 8: "Tower of Babel", where the cybernetic horror is awaiting the player in the courtyard section of the level, sometimes flanked by Lost Souls.
Another interesting note is due to DOOM logic, Cyberdemons are immune to their own rockets and the rockets of other Cyberdemons, despite the player's own rockets being able to hurt them, so the player cannot use monster infighting to turn them against each other, since they lack a close-range attack.

 The Cyberdemon
All three of the cyberdemons tested were found to be genetically identical, suggesting that all cyberdemons may be clones.
When the Cyberdemon assumes its firing stance (with the metal leg forward and to the side), the tension is increased across the structures, providing increased support to help hold the weapon in the required upright position.
Cyberdemons were found in varied environments on the other side of the Portal, in the company of different types of native organisms.

Cyberdemon - Doom Wiki - a Wikia wiki
The Cyberdemon is perhaps the most formidable enemy in classic Doom (although the Spider Mastermind is often a greater threat to the player due to her hitscan weapon).
The Cyberdemon is given a higher probability of performing his missile attack than other monsters, causing him to launch volleys of rockets at a high frequency.
The Cyberdemon AI is designed to retreat in such cases so this technique can only be attempted in a confined space or to draw hits from imps or revenants to provoke monster infighting.

Cyberdemons attack the player by using their arm-mounted rocket launcher with rockets identical to those fired by the player, which are shot in threes, one at a time, per attack.
The Cyberdemon was originally designed as the end-of-chapter boss of the second episode of the original Doom, in level 8: "Tower of Babel", where the creature is awaiting the player in the courtyard section of the level, flanked by Lost Souls (on higher difficulties).

List of enemies in Doom 3 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Cyberdemon is the final boss of Doom 3, and cannot be hurt with conventional firepower; instead, the player has to utilize the most powerful weapon in Doom 3, the Soul Cube, to kill it.
The Cyberdemon is by far the largest monster in the game, towering several meters over the player, and is a gruesome mixture of both demonic and cybernetic parts.
Many players complained about the fact that the Cyberdemon is no longer vulnerable to the other weapons, and thus, a mod was released just some weeks after the release of Doom 3 that made the new Cyberdemon vulnerable to conventional weapons again.

 [H]ard|Forum - doom 3 cyberdemon
I kina liked the cyberdemon, after all its doom, and he was a way better boss from the origional than that stupid spider mastermind.
Only thing I didn't like was that cheezy soul cube, it just didn't fit at all, and not just for the cyberdemon fight, it felt out of place for the whole game, or at least the part where you have it.
The Cyberdemon looked and sounded really cool, but the problem is that you didn't actually fight him.

The cyberdemon is all around the strongest, even though it can only target one player with each attack, his attacks are aimed attacks and won't miss as much as the vagaries.
But to settle the despute, if there is another expansion and it includes Sabaoth, Guardian, Maledict or the spider mastermind, then the cyberdemon may loose it's top spot to SpiderMind or Maledict, they are obviously stronger.
Maledict maybe, but in the original doom a cyberdemon is stronger than a spider mastermind (maybe it was doom 2)

In the annals of lazy game journalism, little stacks up to GamePro magazine's "pro tip" for conquering Doom's baddest foe: "To defeat the Cyberdemon, shoot at it until it dies." Ridiculous, yes — almost tautological — but the pro tip neatly encapsulates Doom's appeal.
