The precise cell cycle function(s) of Cdc14p is unknown.
The first studies of the direct effect of hypoxia on cell cycle activity were performed generally on transformed or oncogenic cells lines.
This led to the study of the effect of hypoxia on cell cycle activity and progression and cell viability in a variety of mammalian and human cell lines.

Flame Imaging Studies of Cycle-by-Cycle Combustion Variation in a SI Four Stroke Engine
The unusual shape of Cycle 13 is seen to be early throughout the cycle relative to the average cycle, presumably because the flow distortion has caused the flame to grow in two separate large sections, resulting in a larger total burning rate.
ATDC in cycles 10 and 17; in cycle 10, this is due to the relatively greater progress of burning, compared to other cycles, but in cycle 17 combustion is completed because the flame shape happens to closely conform to the shape of the chamber when it reaches the wall.
Cycle 25 presumably is a case where the early kernel is blown toward the wall, and is stretched out because of flow divergence there, leading to the flat flame that later develops.

The aim of this study was to investigate whether the phases of the menstrual cycle affect lysine requirement in healthy adult females, as determined by the indicator amino acid oxidation (IAAO) method.
Five healthy females with regular menstrual cycles were studied at seven graded levels of lysine intake, in random order, with an oral [13C]phenylalanine tracer protocol in both the follicular and luteal phases.
Within the course of the six-month study, the experimental subjects with irregular flow tended to normalize, although cycle synchronization was not observed as a trend.

 CancerNetwork:
Studies included in Table 3 contrasted survival in patients treated between days 3 and 12 of the menstrual cycle with survival in those treated during days 0 to 2 or days 13 to 32.
Animal studies by Hrushesky et al indicated that NK activity varied with estrous cycle and was inversely correlated to metastatic dissemination.[11] In earlier studies of healthy women, who provided three or four blood specimens during a single menstrualcycle, a reduction in NK activity was noted before ovulation, with a subsequent rise later in the cycle.
In retrospective studies, it is difficult to accurately assess the extent of disease at diagnosis and whether or not irregularly cycling perimenopausal women or women using oral contraceptives have been appropriately excluded from the study.

NSF Program Announcement/Solicitation: Integrated Carbon Cycle Research Program
Studies of the chemical, biological, ecological, and physical processes driving carbon distribution, transformation and transport within and between terrestrial, atmospheric, and oceanic environments are appropriate for this competition.
Process studies improve our knowledge of poorly understood chemical, biological, and physical processes operating at a variety of spatial and temporal scales within the carbon cycle by helping to define and quantify key mechanisms responsible for carbon transformations and exchanges between land, sea, and air.
One of the important lessons learned from two decades of global carbon cycle and climate research is that the utility of focused process studies can be maximized by including global data synthesis and modeling activities as integral components of the research initiative at the outset.

Ecocycle - Benefits of Critical Review in Life-Cycle Studies - 1996-04-01
By the conclusion of the study, there were over 500 000 data points including data collected from over 60 sites in six countries and four continents.
Objectives: to ensure the purpose of the study was clearly defined; to ensure that data categories included in and excluded from the system boundary were identified; and to understand how the results of the study would be used.
Most life-cycle studies report single values for the data categories and are often misleading due to variability in performance between locations and over time.

Human sexual response cycle - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Studies show that the sex flush occurs in approximately 50-75% of females and 25% of males, yet not consistently.
Both males and females experience quick cycles (typically 0.8 seconds apart) of muscle contraction of the anus and lower pelvic muscles, with women also experiencing uterine and vaginal contractions.
Males ejaculate approximately 2–5 mL of semen, with the volume varying considerably depending on the period of abstinence and degree of sustained arousal prior to ejaculation.

 Ch 7. Carbon Cycle
The global carbon cycle is currently the topic of great interest because of its importance in the global climate system and also because human activities are altering the carbon cycle to a significant degree.
By studying the ratios of stable isotopes of oxygen that make up the glacial ice, we can estimate the temperature (in the region of the ice) at the time the snow fell (glacial ice is formed by the compression of snow as it gets buried to greater and greater depths).
This means that, to the extent that the state of the carbon cycle is closely linked to the condition of the global climate, we are pushing the system toward a climate that has not occurred anytime within the last several million years -- not something to be taken lightly.

PRISM - Case Studies - Cell Cycle Control in Eukaryotes
In this case study we consider a probabilistic model of cell cycle control in eukaryotes, a very commonly occurring class of single-celled or multicellular organisms.
The model is a translation of the formal specification in the biochemical stochastic π-calculus given in [LP03] which studies the relative concentration of a number types of proteins, partaking concurrently in several complex chemical reactions.
In this approach, the time until a reaction between proteins is modelled as an exponential distribution, and therefore we construct a CTMC model of the system where the states of the CTMC correspond to the number of proteins of each type and the transitions correspond to the possible reactions between the proteins.

 Life Cycle Study
In the four key areas, the LCI study demonstrates that polystyrene foam products in most cases have environmental burdens that are lower than or comparable to the alternative products studied (see more report highlights).
A life cycle approach means we recognize how our choices influence what happens at each of these points so we can balance trade-offs and make informed choices that can help reduce overall burdens on the environment.
LCI studies are particularly important in the public arena, where they can help policymakers arrive at well-informed decisions and avoid the shortcomings of focusing on a single environmental performance attribute.

PVC shows environmental benefits in life cycle studies
Some studies see clear advantages for concrete, some report clear advantages for polymer pipes such as PVC and PE, some conclude that the material plays no role as long as no cast iron is chosen.
The sewage pipe study stresses that it should be kept in mind that PVC pipes have a proven lifetime of more than 50 years, due to their durability (stabilisers).
The same study further concludes that the sustainability of products (or materials) cannot be seen as an absolute, it is always a ‘relative contribution to the sustainability of the entire system’ in comparison to other, alternative products.
