Cyclocross is a romantic, and amazingly painful discipline of cycling.
Since a Cyclocross bike is ridden off road the frame and fork are built with more tire clearance to reduce build up of mud and snow and accommodate wider knobby tires.
Cyclocross bikes have mountain bike style cantilever brakes for mud clearance and better braking.

Cyclocross races send riders across uneven terrain, up sharp inclines, around abrupt turns and over obstructions in a series of short laps around a course created for the event.

The first cyclocross race of the season took place on November 2nd at Southern Poly Tech University in Marietta, GA. Sunny skies and temperatures in the mid-40's greeted riders.
