Cyclonus was created in December 2005 by Unicron from the damaged and dying frame of a limited intelligence clone of the Decepticon Bombshell.
Cyclonus had limited free thought capacity so as not to challenge his creator (like Galvatron was want) at first, but when Galvatron took his two henchmen back in time in 2005 to 1986 in a plot to construct a weapon to destroy Unicron he functioned independently, and with a strong personality.
Cyclonus, with Scourge, drifted for six months between various disreputable and crime filled areas and locales, developing a strong drinking habit and creating a reputation for senseless violence and unpredictable behaviour – but always with a deadly and frightening air of icy control to him.
