When the Security Bureau finally published its multi-volume compendium of responses to the highly controversial and predictably divisive consultation paper, it inexplicably classified the FCC's submission as "unclear" whether the Club was for or against the Article 23 legislation.
Also listed as "unclear" was, for example, the submission from the Anti-Article 23 web site organised by Cyd Ho, a Frontier legislator.
The thousands of e-mail signatures collected on-line by the site's organisers and included in its submission will not be counted in the consultation summary report because the Bureau says it has no way to know whether they're simply names obtained from a mailing list.

In one constituency encompassing central and western Hong Kong Island, for example, pro-democracy candidate Cyd Ho defeated her DAB opponent Ip Kwok- him in a high-profile campaign that focused almost exclusively on the candidates' positions on two issues: the controversial anti-subversion law and the future of democratic reform.

Ho was gracious in defeat, but noted that democrats had won more than 200,000 votes in the district to the 140,000 won by the pro-Beijing camp, yet the six seats were divided evenly between them.

One area where I think EWSN is being a trifle unfair is in saying (even with the benefit of hindsight) that it was a mistake to field two separate lists of pro-democracy candidates on HK Island.
The reason for having two lists is because some voters might support Audrey Eu (or Cyd Ho) but not be so keen on Yeung Sum or Martin Lee (or vice versa), so a single list might be off-putting for some people.
