  Cynanchum wangii
Harvard University Herbaria, 22 Divinity Avenue, Cambridge, Massachusetts 02138, U.S.A. Cynanchum wangii, a new species from Yunnan, China, is described, and a photograph of the type specimen is given.
Cynanchum is a genus of about 200 species, of which 53 species and 12 varieties were recognized in China by Tsiang and Li (1977).
The genus is difficult taxonomically, and D. Li (1990) and Qiu (1989) have treated it as several segregate genera.

This weed reappears in my garden, hedge and bushes every year.The flowers are small, like belladonna without the central yellow and they really are BROWN.
Thanks to Giorio in the Forums section, I now know it is Cynanchum rossicum, swallowtail, a relative of the milkweed.

 Ho-shou-wu
Another common name that has been applied is "flowery knotweed."
There is an herb known as baishouwu, which is the white-colored (bai) root used as a substitute for ho-shou-wu, derived from an unrelated plant, Cynanchum bungei.
It is reported to have properties that are similar to ho-shou-wu, with similar taste and uses.
