Cynthia Robinson (born January 12, 1946 in Sacramento, California) is an African-American musician, best known for being the trumpetist in the popular and influential psychedelic soul/funk band Sly and the Family Stone.
Robinson is notable for being the first fl trumpet player in a major American band, and also for being the only member of the original Family Stone to contimue working with Sly Stone after the band fell apart in 1975.
She is the mother of Sly Stone's second child, a daughter named Sylvette Phunne Robinson.

Her project is entitled "The 14th-century Mude'jar Convent of Tordesillas (Spain): A Reinterpretation of Clarisan Spirituality." Tordesillas was first a palace, built in a Muslim style of architecture, before its donation by royal patrons to the Clarisan order in 1363.
She will be working in archives in Madrid, Valladolid and Palencia, in an effort to trace the lives and identities of some of the earliest Clarisan nuns who professed at Tordesillas, among whom were two of Pedro el Cruel's illegitimate daughters.
