Computer and video games - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The game spawned merchandise, a cartoon series and pop songs, and was one of the most heavily cloned video games of all-time.
The popularity of computer and video games, as a whole, has been increasing steadily ever since the 1984-1987 drop-off caused by the video game crash of 1983, and the popularity appears to be continuing to increase.
Video games are made by developers, who used to do this as individuals or small teams in the 80's.

D (video game) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
D was a survival horror/puzzle game released in 1995 by WARP.
The game begins when Laura Harris is contacted by Los Angeles police, receiving a disturbing message: her father, Dr. Richter Harris has gone on a mass murdering spree and has now barricaded himself in the hospital.
D is often referred to as "D's Diner", which could be attributed to a mistranslation of the Japanese name, "D no Shokutaku" (a mistake made by the once-popular but now-defunct American video game magazine, GameFan, which coined the "D's Diner" moniker in a preview).

Instead, rail games are in some ways a purer form of arcade shooter, where the premium is placed not on strategy or ability to navigate and find secret passageways, but rather on skill in targeting and destroying small and fast-moving adversaries whizzing by as one pursues one's objectives.
Such games can be relatively simple to progress through at the easiest level but also tend to be incredibly tough at the highest level of difficulty.
The music in the game is lush and appropriate, but it is remarkably similar in spots to that in Deadly Tide; indeed, at a number of points it appears that identical chunks of background music were used.

While the game does put an interesting spin on the first-person shooter, the ridiculous oversights and design flaws of the adventure component stifle what fun there is to be had.

A few minutes of nothing much passes, then Juni is pulled back into the life of spookdom by operatives Mike Judge and Salma Hayek to rescue his sister Carmen (Alexa Vega), who's been trapped in an interactive 3-D video game called "Game Over" by the mysterious Toymaker.
Once in the game himself, Juni calls on his paraplegic grandfather (Ricardo Montalban, making a joke about Corinthian leather that is as dedicatedly unfunny as anything else in the film) to aid in his quest, gifting grandpa with virtual legs that he will be predictably loathe to give up.
Worse, it doesn't feel like the F/X are integrated or justified by the film at any point, making it an ugly, distracting thing that washes everything in a vomitous yellow-green while the actors cavort around on virtual stages with virtual props.
