Minor League Ball :: Minor Leagues blog featuring John Sickels
Traded to the Giants in a minor league deal that spring, he was assigned to Clinton in the Midwest League, where Beck went 12-7, 3.00 with a 123/27 K/BB in 177 innings, allowing 177 hits.
He found his niche in the bullpen, throwing a bit harder than he did as a starter and making hitters look bad with his splitter, breaking stuff, and command.
He's a fine example of a guy who was a decent but not spectacular prospect in the minors, who was able to adjust and find a role that suited his talents.

The D minor chord is comprised of one and one-half steps (from the note D to the note F, a minor 3rd interval) and two whole steps (from the note F to the note A, a major 3rd interval).
Therefore, the three notes that comprise a D minor chord are: D + F + A.
Notice that the spelling of the D minor chord form in Figure 1 is D + A + D + F. An alternate voicing to the one discussed above will include the open A string.

Also supporting D minor as the original key is the fact that C minor, three flats, was a much more difficult key for the baroque oboe.
Though it is unlikely that C minor is the original key of the concerto, it may be that the C minor version was prepared for a performance using an oboe pitched in Bb.
Though the evidence leans strongly in favor of D minor, the original key of the work cannot be definitively established.

Departmental minors serve an important purpose in water resources education in that they permit the student to obtain considerable depth of study in a restricted area complimentary to the major field.
