		Among the DC working groups presenting special accomplishments during DC 8 the Type, Citation and Collection level description groups and their discussions are presented in more detail.
		The efforts this year as reported on and continued during DC 8 involve the proposal of a DC Education Element Set [18] which extends the DCMES with two education specific elements: Audience (with a qualifier: mediator) and Standards (with the qualifiers: ID and version).
		At DC 8 a considerable amount of discussion was spent to improve the groups proposal and to carry out a consultative vote on how to solve the problem.
