Highlighting that period was Commander, Task Force 60, Rear Admiral C. Bryant, commending Nields for her role in the rescue operations for survivors of the sunken Marnix and Santa Helena from convoy KMF-25-A, the victims of a German air attack.
Assigned to occupation duty, Nields departed Hawaii on 21 August, shaping a course for Eniwetok, in the Marshalls, and Saipan, in the Marianas; she picked up escort carrier Lunga Point (CVE-94) at the latter place and escorted her to Okinawa, where Nields joined Destroyer Squadron 12 at Buckner Bay.

Back in the Mediterranean in May 1944, the ORDRONAUX and the MACKENZIE (DD-614) were assigned to screen the British cruiser HMS DIDO, firing in support of the U.S. Fifth Army at Terracina and Gaeta on the west coast of Italy.

Unfortunately the only reference to the camouflage scheme worn by Monssen is the box art (which shows the starboard side) while there is no mention whatsoever of the pattern carried on the port side.
If you're interested in building a Livermore-class DD in late 1942 kit (Guadalcanal campaign), you may consider picking USS Buchanan DD-484, whose starboard and port sides of her fancy Measure 12 scheme both survive in photographs.
Both early SC and SC-2 type radar arrays are included (most Livermore-class DD's were fitted with the SC type, at least until early 1943) as well as the Mk.12 Fire Control Radar carrier atop the Mk.37 director.
