DDG 93 is also the 20th Aegis destroyer to be launched and christened from Northrop Grumman Ship Systems in Pascagoula, Mississippi.
Construction of CHUNG-HOON (DDG 93) began on January 17, 2001, and DDG 93's keel was laid on January 14, 2002.
DDG 93 was formally commissioned USS CHUNG-HOON during it's commissioning ceremony held on September 18, 2004.

Our DDG library inherits from all the LEDA powerfull algorithmic implementations, such as high level graph operators, access and update DDG structures and attributes, etc. It also includes some specific algorithms used in optimizing compilation.
There are two main DDG C++ classes, DAG and LOOP, corresponding to the DAG and loop models defined in DAG Model and Loop Model respectively.

On 7 November 1998 Bath Iron Works launched Oscar Austin (DDG 79), the 17th Arleigh Burke (DDG 51) class AEGIS guided missile destroyer to be built by BIW, and the 29th ship of the class.
Hours before DDG 79's launch, a separate ceremony at the other end of BIW's yard marked the start of construction on the Land Level Transfer Facility, a completely new construction and launch facility scheduled to replace conventional shipways at BIW.
Starting with DDG 90, scheduled to be laid down late in 2000, BIW ships will be built on a large, flat expanse of concrete, and launched by drydock.

Two Navy ships--an Arleigh Burke-class Aegis guided-missile destroyer (DDG) and a Watson-class LMSR (large, medium-speed roll-on/roll-off sealift ship)--were christened as 1999 came to a close.
The 509-foot destroyer--the 33rd of 51 planned Arleigh Burke-class DDGs and the 19th built by BIW--is scheduled to be commissioned in 2001 and wil be homeported in San Diego, Calif. Cdr.
The transfer--similar to the rotation of four other warships in 1999--is intended to minimize disruption of personnel and their families while ensuring that forward-deployed ships receive the previously scheduled maintenance and modernization periods needed to maintain combat readiness.

The USS Buchanan was named for Franklin Buchanan, a Captain in the United States Navy and an Admiral in the Confederate States Navy.
Buchanan is one of three Adams class DDG's commisioned during the centennial of the Civil War that were named after Confederate naval officers.
We are presently trying to locate crew members who have an interest in joining the Buchanan Association to document and preserve Buchanan's and the Adams Class DDG's history.
