 | | Now, the problem with my hook-up was, the place where I wanted my RO/DI unit secured, was too far from the main water line (the one that comes with the unit is usually only 6 feet), so I had to buy extra hose, and a 1/4" hose extension adapter. |
 | | If you're unit comes with (or you purchase one) a TDS meter, this is also easy to install. |
 | | Different models could potentially have different parts/steps/etc. Also, each unit it different, but for the most part, you will have to toss out the first 50 or so gallons, as the unit will be brand new, and the packaging chemicals for the filters will need to be rinsed clean through the unit. |
