		Some of the songs in the game are "in-house" productions by Kasson Crooker, who served as a musical director for the game and is also a member of the band Freezepop.
		Some of his aliases include: DJ HMX (HMX standing for Harmonix, the developer of this game), Symbion Project, Komputer Kontroller, and Cosmonaut Zero.
		Following is a list of bands who perform in the game, with corresponding song title, in the order of gameplay (The fourth song in each section is a boss song and the fifth song is a bonus song):

	Amplitude - Gamers Experimentations
		You play each instrument via your controller, Parappa style, and when you successfully finish a measure lights flash and you move on to the next instrument track.
		The music they chose seems to be a mix of professional bands (POD, Pink, David Bowie, Dieselboy, Slipknot) and a guy who works for Harmonix who has to use three DJ pseudonyms so people don't feel cheated out.
		Symbiont IS DJ HMX, and he just happens to be the keyboardist for FreezePop!

		When a human hears the different parts coming together along with a nice crescendo and a quickening bass drum, it makes it so much more emotional.

		"Cool Baby!", DJ HMX, Amplitude for the PS2 "Cool Baby!" features the great singer Naoko on this fun, energetic house track that I wrote for Amplitude.
		Once again, Reason and Digital Performer are the tools I used.

		Actually, many people on the development team at Harmonix are in rock bands (not just the music staff, but also artists, programmers, testers, producers, etc.), and several of them contributed bonus songs to the game for fun (beyond the well-known licensed songs).
		And of course, our music director Kasson Crooker (of Freezepop, Symbion Project, DJ HMX, Komputer Kontroller and Cosmonaut Zero fame) contributed a song.
		Amusingly, it's a Freezepop tune; I expect he had some fun figuring out how to fit a song from his synth-pop band into a game about thrashing rock guitar.

		The tracks themselves typically consist of percussion, synths, bass, guitar, effects and vocals, and as the player must listen to each part to accurately complete the phrases, gamers will probably find themselves appreciating how the tracks complement each other and enhance the music.
		Compared to other, more rhythm-based games, Amplitude offers a broader musical palette that includes David Bowie, Garbage, Blink 182, Pink and Herbie Hancock, but it’s the less mainstream musicians that really shine in this game; Freezepop, DJ HMX, and Dieselboy/Kaos, among others, offer excellent and hook-laden songs.
		The sci-fi backgrounds are nicely detailed and varied, but after seeing them a few times the player will probably concentrate more on shooting notes.
