Together with DJ Patife, XRS Land and Drumagick Brazilians are forging a new sound in drum and bass that has become popular around the world with releses such as 'LK' and 'So Tinha Que Ser Com Voce'.
Regarded as a drum’n’bass innovator under the name Marky Mark and then just DJ Marky, he was brought to the attention of the global Drum and Basss scene by English DJ Bryan Gee, head of V Recordings, who saw Marky playing in a club in São Paulo in 1998.
In 2006, DJ Marky played the Lovebox festival in Victoria Park, east London as one of the headline acts at what is becoming a fast growing independent music festival.

DJ Hype is a stage name of drum and bass producer and DJ Kevin Ford.
Hype had a history of turntablism before moving on from his reggae and hip hop roots in the late '80s and latching onto house and hardcore.
He was an early DJ on one of London's pirate stations, Fantasy FM, and since then he's consistently topped bills on the international DJ circuit, landing awards for Best Male DJ and Best Radio DJ (in 1994 and 1995, respectively) at the U.K.'s Hardcore Awards.

DJ Hype started his musical career in the early 80's with a `sound' set up with Shut up and dance, playing reggae soul and hip hop-at first he was building the speakers as well as Djing.
In 1994 Hype started the legendary Ganja Records with the release of `Cops'.Pascal helped Hype with the running of the label and Hype started helping Pascal with Frontline Records, and their friendship became stronger, paving the way for the future.
In 1996 Hype joined forces with Pascal to launch the `Still Smokin' album which was one of the most successful independent jungle albums ever, and later in 1996 they both teamed up with Zinc to form True Playaz Music.

I thought this was a very good album and enjoyed listening to it and appreciating how DJ Hype cut some of the tracks up as I have heard most of the original tracks before.
Man I Know the scratching and the effects are like what Hype does but on this CD many of the tracks are just ruined with the messing with buttons syndrome that seems to control drum and bass producers at random intervals.
If your a fan of Hype or his style of mixing you will love this other wise I would try Jungle massive mixed by DJ Hype, especially if you are new to the gerne.

I've been an avid drum and bass fan for about 3 years now and I can't believe I haven't heard more about DJ Hype.
Of interest is Hype's multiple scratching interludes which beef up any track that begins to get too repetitive.
The track selection is great due to Hype's ability to keep the focus on hardcore drum and bass while still mixing in elements of funk, break, and a slight trance flair on a couple of tracks.
