	Digital Collections
		The DLF Aquifer initiative is developing schemas, protocols and communities of practice to enable effective use by scholars, teachers and students, of digital library material in American culture and life.
		DLF has a growing interest in helping to define and facilitate the development of key "infrastrutural services" that are required by digital libraries but beyond the capacity of any one of them to develop.
		DLF is supporting the development of a small number of Internet gateways through which users will access members' distributed digital library holdings as if they were part of a single uniform collection.

	DLF found guilty of unfair practices
		In 1993, DLF came up with plans for a luxury residential apartment complex - Regency Park - at Gurgaon where it promised modern amenities such as private swimming pool, tennis court, health club-cum-gymnasium, sauna and steam bath, club house with a restaurant and bar to occupants.
		DLF, however, said in its defence that there was no provision to deliver flats in 30 months in the 'apartment buyer's agreement'.
		It claimed that the agreement was binding in nature and added that DLF was not to incur any liability in case of delay in the project.

		DLF, based in New Delhi, plans to submit offer documents with Indian regulators next month, paving the way for an initial public offering by early December, Saurabh Chawla, the finance vice president of DLF, said in a phone interview Friday.
		DLF said Cushman & Wakefield, a commercial real estate broker based in New York, valued 228 million square feet of land owned by the company in 64 locations at between 965 billion rupees and 1.07 trillion rupees.
		DLF would need to offer its shares at a "reasonable discount to what they think is the market value" to attract investors, said Murthy Nuni, managing director in Singapore at Marshal Fund Partners, which invests in Indian companies.

	Digital Library Federation (DLF) Aquifer Project
		Called DLF Aquifer to symbolize the pooling of content into a community resource, and the piping or siphoning of content to meet specific needs, the collaboration amongst a subset of DLF member libraries has produced standards, reports, and prototypes over the past year.
		At the same time, DLF Aquifer services should not simply support the needs of end users but should contribute to the construction of a larger infrastructure, one that would support the collective sharing that Aquifer embodies and specifically would assist institutions with meeting the digital resource demands of their users.
		Although DLF Aquifer is designed to be a loosely coupled set of tools and services to support taking the digital library to the user by enabling local integration, the project requires a portal that can be used for internal evaluation of harvested metadata upon which services are being based.
