The path will vary depending on where Doom 3 is installed but it's this entry that needs amending with a few command line parameters (variables).
This basically sets the editor up to use the default content relative to the original files and data sat in the 'base' folder.
This is located in a different location to Doom 3 being installed to the 'scripts' folder (in the case of Quake 3 -..\baseq3\scripts\; or Return to Castle Wolfenstein -..\main\scripts\) of most game directories.

Just discovered this lil doozey while browsing, I read in the Doom III readme that the editor was supplied with the game, but was stunted when I couldnt find it anywhere.
Ive started making doom 3 maps as a just got doom 3 yesterday its very handy and its the same as the mohaa and call of duty editor which i used.
Man i love the doom 3 editor its easy to use and im starting on my new map but its not very good its more like a test map.

When i start the editor it runs at the games resolution setting and not the one i have in windows, and the mouse becomes invissible, thx for any help.
I think this editor is totaly buged and i didnt expected something like that from iD. I cant even select my favourite layout and i have to resize it by hand.

Who knows, maybe id Software has a very powerful gui editor under their sleeves that's bundled with the game of will be released a few time after the game ships (since marteen said on shacknews they'll release a few tools after the game ships).
Added a little CSS because stuff was starting to get messy around here, and overall made everything a bit more organized -- added this home/news page and moved the old 'home' page into its own About page, to make room for content I plan to add there later (some reference and guides).

The editor still uses a lot of Windows code so it's not going to run on a Macintosh, but I think all the other tools should run fine.
The version 0.01 build of DOOM III we were shown may not be that far along — it's still got a good year of development left behind it ("when it's done" applies, but the team is shooting for a 2003 release) — but it was damn impressive
