During the summer of 1994, DRC served as the site for a research project investigating the basal metabolic rate of bottlenose dolphins and the energy cost of echolocation.
DRC has always believed strongly that programs allowing guests to enter the water to swim with dolphins should be directed explicitly by experienced trainers, and we structure our programs accordingly.

The DRC is New Hampshire's designated Protection and Advocacy agency and authorized by federal statute "to pursue legal, administrative and other appropriate remedies" on behalf of individuals with disabilities.
The DRC is governed by a 10-member Board of Directors comprised of persons with disabilities, family members of persons with disabilities, advocates, human service professionals, community representatives and attorneys.

The eastern regions of the DRC are rich in gold, diamonds, coltan (columbo-tantalite), cassiterite, copper, cobalt, wolfram, zinc and oil, as well as timber, coffee and palm oil.
It is essential that crimes, particularly violations of international human rights and humanitarian law, committed in the DRC are thoroughly and impartially investigated and that the Porter Commission does not prove to be merely a public relations operation to appease the international community and to allow an escape route for offenders.

The conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) is one of the deadliest in African history.
It is estimated that over three quarters of the killings have taken place there and that approximately 90 per cent of the DRC’s internally displaced population have fled violence in that region.
Military and political leaders have used their position to exploit these resources and large-scale human rights violations such as the mass killing of civilians, rape and other forms of torture have been committed by government forces, armed opposition factions and foreign troops in the war for profit.

To this day, an individual is not required to sign up with the DRC Office, as it is the College's responsibility to accommodate an individual, but the Office tries to simplify accommodation for the student and the college by housing a number of services in centralized locations.
The DRC Office is staffed by professionals who specialize in disability-related issues (learning disabilities specialists and instructors, counselors, etc.) who advise and advocate for the student while maintaining the necessary level of confidentiality.

The Dispute Resolution Center of Kitsap County (DRC) is a private, nonprofit (501(c)(3)) community mediation center that provides residents with options for resolving disputes themselves, out-of-court, voluntarily, nonviolently, inexpensively and within the community.
The Organizing Committee for the DRC began meeting in August 1989, to develop a means for dispute resolution that would be easily accessible, less adversarial and more informal than the court system.
July 1990, the Kitsap County Commissioners designated the DRC as the dispute resolution center for Kitsap County pursuant to RCW 7.75.

When this DRC was started, it was in the smallest county in Texas to have a free-standing DRC, much to the credit and vision of Commissioner's Court and the judiciary and bar of Montgomery County.
