	Trail of Tears (band) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		The band's initial name was Natt, but in 1997 their name was switched to Trail of Tears, in order to reflect the evolution of their sound and the changes that had been made from their initial line-up.
		The release of the demo lead the band to sign a contract for two albums with Dutch recording label DSFA Records.
		Their third release was entitled A New Dimension of Might and was produced by Terje Refsnes (producer of Tristania, Sirenia and Green Carnation), the album was release in 2002.

	Metal Blade Records - Online
		The first album on Metal Blade Records (released early 2002) entitled Flesh_Power_Dominion was received massive feedback from the press; over 200 interviews were done with magazines and radio stations all over the world.

		In the early days we didn’t really had the intention to get a record deal or to tour around the world… hell no… we were just a bunch of youngsters who thought it was cool to play the great tunes of the bands we were listening to.
		I guess that’s logical because the recordings on the 2CD never were available officially in the US territory before, maybe only a handful of copies though small underground (import) channels.
		When we recorded the demo we received an overwhelming response in the press and several journalists over here in Holland already called us the next big thing after Gorefest, Pestilence and The Gathering (who were the leading bands in the Dutch scene back then).

		Last but not least there is our 2nd album 'Graceful… yet Forbidding', recorded during 1998 and finally released in 1999 by DSFA Records (Benelux) and in 2001 by Edgerunner Records (in the rest of Europe).

		The three Leidse Kage live tracks were recorded on February 2, 2001.
		It is hard to capture the full concert experience on a CD, but the band seems to have a very good stage presence.

		Both of the records are really good, with the second having even more classical influences, with more symphonic parts and the famous Rachmaninov choir.

		Having only been around a little more than a year, the sextet known as Within Temptation have done wonders in such a short span of time.
		The band recorded two demos (_Enter_ and an untitled one) before signing to DSFA where the band re-recorded and fixed up material from those previous efforts to form their DSFA debut, _Enter_.
		The music of Within Temptation can best be described as melodic, slow metal, very similar to labelmates Orphanage or Century Media's The Gathering.
