		Dorsal's nuclear function involves an interaction with transcription factor Bang senseless, here termed Dorsal switch protein 1 or DSP1 (FlyBase link: FBgn0000231) DSP1, an HMG-1/2-like protein, binds DNA in a highly cooperative manner with three members of the Rel family of transcriptional regulators (NF-kappaB, the p50 subunit of NF-kappaB, and the Rel domain of Dorsal).
		DSP1 has opposite effects on the activity of Dorsal assayed with regulatory sequences excised from the twist and zen promoters.
		Cotransfection with DNA encoding DSP1 has just the opposite effects on this Dorsal mediated activation of the two promoters: activation from the twist promoter is stimulated 4-fold, whereas that from the zen promoter is inhibited 3-fold.

		In Fat Mike's SWCDX2FAQ.pdf, I notice that he says that the proper way to play DSP1 games is to load the ROM backup, then insert a DSP1 cart in the passthru, and then reset the system.
		In theory, it should be possible to patch the DSP1 games that do not properly initialize stuff, but since the workaround involves a simple reset, it isn't worth the trouble.

	DSP1 effect
		I was under the impression that you could either assign it to a specific part, or have it affect everything being played through the keyboard.
		If DSP1 can serve as a system effect for the panel voices, I don't see the mix control.
		I to have the same question regarding DSP1 - this DSP has more effects than all of the other DSP's (especially in the area of rotary speaker effects), and I would sure like to be able to assign it to the panel voices and especially to the organ flutes voices.
