So, today I need to spend a little time researching DVD "Plus" and make sure it is right for what I want to do: Data Archives and making home movies for the stand-alone DVD player.
Most home players (and computer drives) will play one or the other (if not both) so there's usually some trial and error involved, which is very much like the early CD-R days.
