Beasley signed with MLS on March 16, 1999, and was allocated to the Los Angeles Galaxy.
Beasley, along with midfielder Landon Donovan, was harshly criticised by fans and the USA coaching staff for poor play during the 2006 FIFA World Cup.

Jamar Beasley (born October 11, 1979 in Fort Wayne, Indiana) is an American soccer player who currently plays for the St. Louis Steamers of the Major Indoor Soccer League.
Beasley began his professional career in 1998, as a member Major League Soccer's Project-40, directly out of high school (South Side High School (Fort Wayne, Indiana)), the first MLS player ever to do so.
Jamar's brother, DaMarcus Beasley, has enjoyed much more success than his sibling, and currently plays for Manchester City of the English Premier League.
