Found as a terrestrial in western Canada at elevations of 4400 feet and blooms in the summer on an erect, several flowered, racemose inflorescence with simultaneoulsy opening flowers.
This epiphytic genus is characterized by having thick spindle shaped stems with distchious leaves on the upper half.
