  Welcome to Daegu Exhibition Convention Center
The Daegu Art EXPO 2003, which is held 100 days before the Universiade Game to celebrate the tournament, is the first large-scale arts and culture exhibition held in EXCO, the trade exhibition site.
Daegu Art EXPO was previously held in the Daegu Culture and Arts Hall for the fist time last year, and this year, it is conducted to celebrate the 2003 Daegu Summer Universiade on a much larger scale.
Daegu Art EXPO is joined by more than 70 domestic art galleries and 300 artists to introduce 5000 exhibited art works that include paintings, prints, sculptures, photographs, images and established works.

 Fashion Students Set a Pattern of Winning Ways
University of Cincinnati fashion design juniors Jay Ott, 22, of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Dong Eun Kim, of Daegu, Korea, were just named winners in a national scholarship competition sponsored by the Council of Fashion Designers of America.
In 2003, he was one of a handful of fashion students chosen to represent the U.S. at Paris’ International Competition of Young Fashion Designers.
The UC students were two of ten winners nationally, all of whom will be able to use their winnings for senior-year tuition.

Bethel University's nursing department recently hosted 20 students and two professors from the College of Nursing at Keimyung University in Daegu, South Korea.
The program was developed and coordinated by Young-Ja Yang, assistant professor of nursing at Bethel and a graduate of Keimyung University, after Bethel nursing students studied at Keimyung University.
Because of Yang's ties with both institutions, faculty members at Keimyung approached her about creating a program that would give their nursing students the opportunity to see health care delivery and the practice of nursing in the United States.
