The greatest threat to the Imperium of Man is, and has always been, the followers of Chaos and the foul daemons of the Warp.
The Inquisitors of the Ordo Malleus, the Daemonhunters, are at war with forces too terrible to comprehend and, together with the holy warriors of the Grey Knights, they must take the light of the Emperor into the darkness.
Daemonhunters often find themselves fighting over some remote place of worship for heretics.

Tau Online - Sample Army Lists   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-04)
Daemonhunter Inquisitors can be monsters on combat, much more so than a Sergent in the Storm Troopers, so keeping that in mind, we rig up and take the fight to our enemy face to face as a Daemonhunter should.
Daemonhunters at low point-level games are difficult to fit in the units that we want, but that is a problem that plague's the Grey Knights.
When it comes to the Inquisitorial Daemonhunters with their inducted Guard allies, we're free to take our flavorful characters from the Daemonhunters and our meat and core really from the Guard (much like how it should be anyways).

While using Daemonhunters as allies (the last choice listed above) is a viable way to add punch to your existing army (an Assassin for your Black Templars, Grey Knights for your Guard, etc.), this article will focus more on using the Daemonhunters as your primary army.
The Daemonhunters’ greatest weaknesses are a lack of heavy firepower (only a Grey Knight Dreadnought or Land Raider has access to a shooting weapon greater than Strength 6) and a lack of cheap troops.
By combining forces with Imperial Guard, a Daemonhunter player can bulk up his army with a couple of Infantry Platoons and give each squad a heavy bolter (70 points for the squad), a missile launcher (75 points), or a lascannon (85 points).

Hey everyone I am currently working on a Daemonhunters Tactica which should be out later this week.
I am doing this because I believe the site is a little bit at a loss for a Daemonhunters tactics sheet.
Daemonhunters are a slightly more difficult army to play, mainly do their expensiveness, and lack of variety in units.

I think that I will take Daemonhunters as allies to my Ultramarines EZ company, and my Cadian Guard army.
On the other hand, I want to eventually collect about 20 demons and a demonlord for my eldar and necrons.
If you read the rules on taking opponents of daemonhunters, you will find that the greater daemon and the lesser daemons have mildly random attributes and can be represented by anything daemon, really (ie: slannesh daemonettes).

I'm mainly interested in the becaue they're, at least as far as I can tell, a small scale, elite kind of army, I acknowlege the fact that they're expensive to field, however.
I enjoyed the entire process, the only thing I would not recommend is playing Daemonhunters in a competitive way...
One good think about Daemonhunters is that it allows you to use allied troops from other armies, namely Space Marines, Imperial Guard and Witch Hunters.

I've decided to begin building an Inquisitorial retinue for a possible Daemonhunters army.
Inspired by the picture of "The Acolyte" on page 14 of the Daemonhunters Codex, an Interrogator apprentice for my (as yet unbuilt) Inquisitor was the first henchman I decided to build.
At this point I drilled a hole where the neck was to accept the head, and also in the foot to attach the model to a bottle cap as a handle, and would later pin him to his base.

So I was perusing the Daemonhunters codex last night - specifically the section talking about why Daemonhunters would fight against different armies.
That means that the Daemonhunters will either have to be defenders or play a scenario that doesn’t have an attacker.
With that in mind I think GW is going to have to do some work on the motivations behind a conflict between the Dark Eldar and the Daemonhunter scum.

I do realise that it is not in the Codex and there is not a lot of fluff to support such a model, however I do think it will look cool.

Well, i have started a new army now Daemonhunters, the first order of the inquisition so expect some new updates soon, my paintings improved alot since my DA's soo stay tuned.
The 3 main sections of the Dark Angels: The Deathwing, The Ravenwing, and The 'Fallen', each one with its own description on the section, soon there will be painting guides for them, apart from the fallen.
The Daemonhunters dont have other 'sections' of the army although they can be split up, by the way a army uses its inquisitor, either puritan or radical, radical inquisitors like to use daemons to help fight off chaos, but this means no Grey Knights are allowed, well because they would kill the Daemonhosts.
