There is no other accommodation on Dafni beach, or any accommodation located directly on any other beaches where the turtles nest on the island – so staying here really is a unique and special experience to observe the turtles at close range and enjoy the feeling as if the beach were exclusive to you.

Dafni beach is a lovely sandy beach and a nesting ground to the loggerhead turtles; the nests on the beach are caged so that the eggs do not get damaged in the hope this will help prevent the numbers of the turtles from declining further.

Hi Dafni beach was kinda very quiet it seemed that a lot of the buisnesses were closed tho we did go in late september, we couldn't drive down we had to get a lift to the beach and back which was a bit of a pain on the whole I wouldn't reccomend it.
Dafni Beach used to be really beautiful until they deliberately trashed the beach with rocks, stones, rubble, and built loads of illegal building, tavernas and car parks, basically to put off turtles.
Dafni also used to be the second most important nesting beach in Laganas Bay for the Loggerhead turtles, and now nesting is seriously reduced, almost disappeared.

In 2004, Dafni released her debut album, Red, a CD on which she sang and played most of the instruments (guitar, bass, and piano) and recorded herself in her apartment in Los Angeles.

CD REVIEW: Dafni - Drifting in Circles
CD Review: Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Dafni's second album "Drifting in Circles", combines dream-like waltzes with jazzy-pop and folk tunes, to create a charming record that holds up to repeated spins.
Dafni's voice is likeable and inviting, especially in the quieter moments, though by no means ever close to strong and overpowering (though that type of singing isn’t really called for on this set of tunes).
The imagery used is pretty straightforward, but there are no throwaway lines, even when we get repeated loss or dream language, it usually is in a different shade, ranging from uncertainty to optimism, and dreaming to remembering.
