		The province of Leyte is one of the six provinces of Eastern Visayas Region in Central Philippines.

		Dagami was one of the early mission stations established by the Jesuits on Leyte island in 1595.
		In 1655, Dagami was raised to the status of residence until a fire destroyed the parochial house, after which the residence was transferred to Palo.
