 Dagmar Krause: The Voice of Armageddon
Dagmar, sounding ultra-armageddonish at the end ("Now is the time to begin to go forward, advance from despair..") This song absolutely rocks once you get used to the always-changing melodies and sometimes clashing chords.
Dagmar's songs are very, um, different...so different they are extremely difficult to listen to, they don't seem to have any sense of time (which in some cases is good, but it is difficult here :-P. My weak German tells me that her idea was to write a sort of ballet for electronics.
Dagmar wailing in fine form during the middle sections, and singing the verses with grace and conviction (not to mention it's HIGHLY danceable), and "Jonny", with some very characteristic vocalizations by Krause, who repeats a simple lyric but improves on its delivery each time around.

Born Dagmar Klein in 1973 in an unremarkable and mostly misspelt town in the north of Germany, she is now a chemistry teacher, postgrad student of English Literature, part-time ginger-in-chocolate hater as well as a genuine latecomer to the world of music.
She started by teaching herself to play flute in 1991 (incidentally, the 41 stems from that period, being as it is a memory aid coined by fellow Jethro Tull fans who remember her as "Dagmar-For-One" as in the tune "Dharma For One") and promptly ended up in assorted local bands playing prog rock.
Dagmar is a big fan of Peter Hammil, and you will also find her on the ph7 chat list.

Dagmar Hagelin, age 17, a swedish girl, living in Buenos Aires, was shot and kidnapped on January 27th, 1977 by Alfredo Astiz, a member of task force 332 (GT332), based in the Navy Mechanics School (Spanish initials: ESMA: Escuela Mecanica de La Armada, a secret detention center, and extermination camp in the capital, Buenos Aires).
At least three survivors of the ESMA saw Dagmar and talked to her in captivity.
Dagmar Hagelin was kidnapped by mistake, and her disapperance became an international problem to the Argentine dictatorship.
