Further, we learnt that if Daito Bunka University were to offer courses in Japanese culture, politics, economics and such in English, then this would make it possible for students from Keele University to study in Japan.

PENSACOLA- The University of West Florida College of Business in partnership with Daito Bunka University in Tokyo, Japan, will offer the third annual business program in Tokyo May 18 through July 3.
Juniors, seniors and beginning graduate students from any Florida university or Florida residents studying out-of-state are eligible to apply for the program.
Students accepted for the program will study international business at Daito Bunka University for the first five weeks of the semester and earn nine semester credit hours.

KARACHI, Aug 16: Japanese students, who have been coming here for the past 20 years, will not come to Karachi University this year because the university has not informed them about arrangements for their study tour and participation in cultural events.
Sources told Dawn that the University of Karachi had an agreement with Daito Bunka University, Japan, under which students from the latter spent their summer vacations in Karachi, learning the Urdu language and becoming acquainted with Pakistani culture and literature.
It is a shame that the University of Karachi failed to inform the students about arrangements for this year’s study tour, leaving them with no option but to cancel their trip,” they said.

According to Professor Kondo (letter of 9 November 1994), the incipient Daito Bunka programme in interpreting in economic affairs seems to be the only solid interpreter-training course currently offered at the post-graduate level in Japan.
There are however many universities where undergraduate translator-training courses are given as part of programmes in departments of English, Foreign Languages, Liberal Arts, etc. (as at Kyoto and Osaka in the list below).
There are also many good private language schools where interpreting courses are given without leading to any officially controlled degree or diploma.
