  Planets - Dakara
The birthplace of the Jaffa, according to legend, which also says Dakara was the site of the first Prim'tah ritual where their enslavement emerged.
Dakara is the location of an Ancient superweapon monument that once gave a rebirth to life in this galaxy following the devastation of a great plague that had swept through.
Teal'c believed the key to bringing Jaffa together, both by a strategic position and an example of their strength, was to capture the planet and hold it in the name of Free Jaffa.

Replicator (Stargate) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
They discover that the Temple at Dakara was not of Goa'uld origin, but of Ancient origin, and is in fact the home of the Dakara Superweapon.
Daniel sees through her disguise as Oma Desala, but not before she discovers the location of the Dakara Superweapon, and heads there immediately, whilst continuing to absorb Daniel's vast knowledge.
However, Teal'c speaks to him and they negotiate that he will allow Samantha Carter time to study the Superweapon, as the Replicators are a common threat and the alternative is that Anubis will use the Superweapon to wipe out all life in the galaxy bar his own.

Dakara Superweapon   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-11)
The Dakara Temple and the Dakara Superweapon was actually built by the Ancients, the creators of the Stargate network.
Shortly after the destruction of the Replicators, the Superweapon was destroyed by the Jaffa in the episode "Threads" due to the potential threat that Anubis posed if he took control over the weapon.
The Temple of Dakara is held by the Jaffa Rebellion when Baal flees under their victory, and this marks the ultimate success of the rebellion.

Dakara was the holiest of Jaffa sites, being the place where the Goa'uld bred the first Jaffa.
During the subsequent three-way battle between the rebel Jaffa, the Goa'uld, and the Replicators, Teal'c's leadership kept the Jaffa forces alive long enough for the Replicators to be disabled by a new superweapon and then led them to defeat the remaining Goa'uld forces.
Dakara became the capital city of the Free Jaffa Nations and Teal'c and Bra'tac were honored with a ceremony making them the blood brothers of all Jaffa.

Free Jaffa Nation - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-11)
It is said that the enslavement of all Jaffa originated at the Temple of Dakara, where the Jaffa were first implanted with Goa'uld symbiotes and given their strength.
Dakara is the ultimate holy ground and symbol of enslavement and freedom (for it is the last place they were free before rebelling) for the Jaffa.
With the destruction of the Goa'uld by the Replicators and the defeat of the Replicators by the Dakara Superweapon the Jaffa began the process of forming a nation.

Science Fair Projects - Baal (Stargate)
Ba'al's forces are occupied by the fleets of ships which fall under control of the replicators, and by the return of Anubis, previously thought to have been killed; during the events of the episode "Reckoning" Ba'al is shown to be serving Anubis, presumably unwillingly.
When knowledge of an Ancient superweapon capable of destroying all life in the galaxy is discovered, Ba'al secretly assists Samantha Carter and Jacob Carter in modifying the weapon, along with the DHD associated with Dakara's stargate (device), to destroy all of the Replicators in the galaxy.
Anubis is not pleased with these actions, and decrees that he shall claim the superweapon for himself and that he has been betrayed by Ba'al.

Planet killer - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Science-fiction writers have devised many methods of destroying a planet; blasting it with a specially designed laser weapon, launching nuclear missiles at the surface until the radiation and heat sterilises the planet, or through the use of exotic energy weapons not covered by present-day physics.
In Ben Jeapes' novel The Xenocide Mission, the superweapon "Device Ultimate" is a series of boxes containing a device that is placed in a small spacecraft and fired into a sun.
This would cause the sun to become unstable, exploding the first 1% of the sun, and releasing enough radiation to kill all life in the solar system, as well as disintegrating the first planet of the solar system.

Dakara obviously the most powerful, since it has galatic wide destruction, and before you say halo, remeber that they need 7 halos for one galaxy...
dakara is the super weapon since it can wipe u out of existence.
BTW about dakara, I gotta ask, since it has a setting that desintegrates matter, and since the wave expands in every direction, wouldnt that destroy the weapon and the gates, even if it got through the wormhole first.

GateWorld Forum - Question About The Ancient Superweapon [[Spoilers: Reckoning Part 2]]
Well according to the episode it basically made the material lose chemical bonds if the energy level was up high enough and if the energy output was low enough it would just make Selmac feel woozy and make replicators lose their energy bonds...
Ok, what they said in the episode was the device was originally used to spread life in the universe.
Another theory is that their tech just changed in style (they got sick of the stone age) and didnt bother to upgrade abandoned tech.

Goa'uld - StargateWiki   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-11)
When he was collecting weapons enhancement technology, called Eyes, to create a powerful superweapon on his mothership, the System Lords, led by Yu who had opposed his readmission, attacked Anubis in orbit over Abydos.
The SGC involved the High Council of the System Lords once again in opposing Anubis by baiting him with the possible location of the Lost City of the Ancients which was supposed to have a powerful weapons cache which would guarantee the possessor of galactic supremacy.
Ultimately, in the fateful encounter over the skies of the planet Dakara, the Jaffa won their freedom when the Goa'uld System Lords Ba'al and Anubis were defeated and the remaining army of Kull Warriors were destroyed (8.16 "Reckoning Part 1", 8.17 "Reckoning Part 2", 8.18 "Threads").

The only problem with this plan is that there may have been a lot of Teyla's kind around at the time, not athosians, but the Wriath/Human hybrid, even though the Wraith are already a hybrid between the irratus bug and humans.
The atlantis expedition was a scientific one, not a military one, the ancients likely saw no need to bring any strong defencive or offensive force, as there was no one in the pegasus galaxy at the time.
all the dakara device did was emit an energy wave they destroyed everything by breaking all living matter into its base elements.

He returned to the SGC again to request a different kind of help after Anubis explained that there was an Ancient weapon on Dakara that he could use to wipe out the Replicators, after Baal reclaimed Dakara for the Goa'uld and wiped out all the rebel Jaffa there.
He began by bringing in his fleet in to Dakara as slowly as he could, then, after Teal'c and Bra'tac began a slow, steady retreat after their ship's shields started to fail, Baal turned his entire fleet to follow, ignoring Dakara in favor of wiping out all the rebels before retaking the planet.
She was also part of the later fleet that was cooperating with the SGC to ambush Anubis (at first on an Ancient world, and later over Kelowna).

Anubis used one of the oldest forms of the Ancient language to encode his computer systems and even the Tok'ra were unable to translate it.
The Jaffa held this place as sacred and the Rebel Jaffa determined that if they could take control of the temple on Dakara, they could prove once and for all that the Goa'uld are not gods.
This coincides to when the device on Dakara was used to reseed life after the plague swept through the galaxy.

They probably used the Dakara weapon to put all the amino acids of the galaxy together to form DNA.

I mean the temple and the planet its own wouldn't even exist! Heh, still, I feel this makes up for a couple of holes in what they said earlier because restarting a whole galaxy and stargate network would take much longer than even a million years.

Superweapons, not infantry/personal weapons, though as far as how powerful it is the lightsaber is pretty uber for a personal weapon, covenant plasma sword is pretty cool too, but SUPERWEAPONS people, superweapons.
Well, depends on what do you exactly mean by destruction when talking about superweapons...
For example, The Mule (or all Gaians for that matter) would easily distrupt the delicate Seldon Plan and throw all of mankind into chaos, maybe destroying it forever...

In addition to the Stargates, the Ancients left behind several repositories of Ancient knowledge, Dakara superweapon (which the Ancients used to cleanse the Milky Way of the invading virus), several military outposts similar to that found in Antarctica, and the city of Atlantis, as well as many other lesser relics of advanced technology.
They also seeded life on thousands of worlds across the galaxy using the Stargate and the Dakara Superweapon, which is why most of the worlds with Stargates are generally hospitable to humanoid life and are populated with humans.
Eventually, there came a time when the Ancients began to research "ascension" to a higher plane of existence, to escape a mysterious plague that was infiltrating their population.
