Cowboy Defensive Coordinator Ernie Stautner said, "If Jordan weighed as much as Dick Butkus, they'd have to outlaw him from football." Jordan was enshrined in the Ring of Honor soon after Jerry Jones became owner of the Cowboys.

Tony Dorsett arrived in Dallas in 1977 via a draft-day deal the Cowboys swung with the Seattle Seahawks for the sole intention of selecting the Heisman Trophy winner from the University of Pittsburgh.
The Dorsett deal paid dividends in his very first year with the Cowboys, the four-time All-American picking up where he left off in college, rushing for 1,007 yards to earn NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year honors and set the rushing bar for rookie running backs in Dallas.
In 1994 Dorsett became the ninth Cowboys player inducted into the Ring of Honor, and that same year he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

The debate that's raging is whether the Cowboys "triplets" were the best quarterback, running back, wide receiver combo ever to play together at the same time.
It was interesting in Jones' Ring of Honor press conference, and the ensuing media coverage, that there was no mention of Jimmy Johnson's role in the careers of Aikman, Smith and Irvin, or in developing the dominant Cowboy team that won back-to-back Super Bowls and enhanced the achievements of all three.
Take it as a strong sign that despite the fact JJ pulled the strings and made the decisions that transformed the Cowboys from the NFL's worst to the best in a remarkably short time frame, hell will freeze over before he's in the Ring of Honor.

The glory days of the Cowboys were done years ago when Tom Landry left and they started hiring thugs and criminals posing as football players.
As I stated, I'm a Cowboys fan who doesn't belive that the Cowboys will win the Super Bowl, nor do I believe they will win either of their last two games, but comments like that are unnecessary or called for.
IF the Cowboys get into the playoffs, which is possible, but unlikely I think, they won't make it to the NFC Championship game, they just don't have the talent.
