I am delighted to welcome you to the website for Dalmeny House and estate, where my family has lived for over three hundred years.
The house contains internationally renowned collections: one of French eighteenth-century furniture and Sèvres porcelain inherited from my Rothschild grandmother and another of Napoleonic portraits and memorabilia collected by my grandfather, the 5th Earl of Rosebery as well as paintings of the highest quality from the 16th to the 19th centuries.
I hope that you will enjoy learning more about the house and estate and that we will have the pleasure of seeing you here in the future.

The Dalmeny Estate lies on the south shore of the Firth of Forth, between South Queensferry and Cramond.
The 4th Earl of Rosebery built Dalmeny House on the estate in 1815.
In 2005, Dalmeny House was open from 2pm to 5:30pm on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday afternoons in July and August.

A planned village on the Dalmeny Estate, Dalmeny lies to the east of South Queensferry and west of the city of Edinburgh close to the A90 road approaching the Forth Bridge.
In the 1930s, both the church and village were renovated by volunteers, miners' cottages having been razed and their occupants moved to modern Council housing nearby in 1938.
